Cognition of Quran (7)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ بِجَمِیعِ مَحَامِدِه کُلِّهَا عَلَی جَمِیعِ نِعَمِهِ کُلِّهَا اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ مالِکِ الْمُلْکِ مُجْرِی الْفُلْکِ مُسَخِّرِ الرِّیاحِ فالِقِ الاْصْباحِ دَیّانِ الدّینِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمینَ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ عَلی حِلْمِهِ بَعْدَ عِلمِهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ عَلی عَفْوِهِ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ عَلی طُولِ اَناتِهِ فی غَضَبِهِ وَهُوَ قادِرٌ عَلی ما یُریدُ

ثم الصلاه و السلام علی محمد عبده و رسوله ارسله بالهدی و دین الحق لیظهره علی الدین کله و لو کره المشرکون

اوصیکم عبادالله و نفسی بتقوی الله و اتباع امره و نهیه، و اخوفکم من عقابه.



Content of the holy Quran

The Qur'an is a book that shows the way of weal to humans and guides and directs them. The three main questions of man, which was disturbing the thinkers from the beginning of the history, are "Where is the beginning of creation?" And "Where is the end of it?" And "What are the reasons of it?

The Holy Quran has answered these three questions. In the answer to the first question, discussions such as the existence of a wise creature with the attributes of science and power, and things such as the creation of the universe and its beginning, the universe, the skys, man, and ... are discussed in the Word of God


Prove that God exists 

To prove the existence of God, several arguments have been put forward, some of which are understandable to everyone, and some require precise philosophical reflections. One of the intelligible arguments for all individuals, yet firm and strong to prove the existence of God, is the proof of order. This argument consists of two preamble



In every corner of the world, there are works of order, law, and purpose :as first 

Any device that is so, must have a constructor that is wise and erudite  :as second

Every human being, with a little care in the world around him, leads to the existence of a great order in the universe. The Holy Quran says


أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ؛ وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ؛ وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ؛ وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ(غاشیة: 17-21)

Do they not look at the camels—how they are created?  And at the sky—how it is raised? And at the mountains—how they are installed? And at the earth—how it is spread out?


إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ (آل عمران:190)

In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, are signs for people of understanding

Discoveries in science also help. The planet we live in against the center of the solar system, the sun, is so small that it will be just as much as the sun if one million and two thousand planets get together. On the other hand, our solar system is part of a huge galaxy called the Milky Way. It's interesting to know that in our galaxy there are more than 100 billion stars that the sun is only one of its mid-sized stars. On the other hand, in this great universe, there are so many galaxy’s and they are out of the count and number, and the more astronomical telescopes become more massive and equipped, new galaxies are discovered. The smallest part of the universe, the atom, has a very stunning construction.


Creation of the universe

Other matters that are considered in the Holy Qur'an are the question of the creation of the heavens and the earth, and of all the universes and the world of life. Almighty God in the Holy Quran says about the origin of the creation and the creatures of the universe



وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ إِنَّكُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ(هود:7)

It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days—and His Throne was upon the waters—in order to test you—which of you is best in conduct. And if you were to say, “You will be resurrected after death,” those who disbelieve would say, “This is nothing but plain witchcraft.”

Of course, this verse has answered all three of the questions we mentioned, but our discussion is now in the first part of the verse, which deals with the creation of the world. The points in this section of the verse that are noteworthy are

The meaning of the six days that the earth and the sky are created is the sixth time that has passed on the earth and the heavens to the present. That is, the present state of the earth and the celestial bodies is the result of a series of successive developments in which they were created and, as a result, they have become current in these stages. It may have been for a period of ten million years or ten billion  years 


First: The day the entire world was in the form of a gas mass that separated themselves from the distance and formed the planets.

Second: On the other day, the planets gradually became mollusted, luminous or cold and habitable.

Third:  The other day the solar system was formed and the earth was separated from the sun.

Fourth: The other day the earth was cold and ready for life.

Fifth: Then the plants and trees appeared on the earth.

Sixth: Finally, animals and humans appeared on earth.


2.    The word "throne" is said to be on the place of the kings, but this word is used in the meaning of power in the verse, and sometimes it means the totality of the universe, because the throne of the power of God encompasses the whole world.

3.    The word "ما" means water, and is sometimes referred to as any liquid object "ma". Thus, from the meanings of the word "throne" and "ما" it appears that at the beginning of the creation, the universe was in the form of molten material (or super-intensive gases that contained mold and liquid form), then in this water mass There have been huge movements and explosions, and they have gone through some steps to the present.


 Human creation


Human creation is one of the other things that have been considered in the Holy Qur'an, and has answered the fundamental question of the human mind. The Holy Quran says:

وَ مِنْ آیاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَکُمْ مِنْ تُرابٍ ثُمَّ إِذا أَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ تَنْتَشِرُونَ؛ وَ مِنْ آیاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَکُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِکُمْ أَزْواجاً لِتَسْکُنُوا إِلَیْها وَ جَعَلَ بَیْنَکُمْ مَوَدَّةً وَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّ فِی ذلِکَ لَآیاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ یَتَفَکَّرُونَ؛ وَ مِنْ آیاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ وَ اخْتِلافُ أَلْسِنَتِکُمْ وَ أَلْوانِکُمْ إِنَّ فِی ذلِکَ لَآیاتٍ لِلْعالِمِینَ (روم: 20-22)

And of His signs is that He created you from dust; and behold, you become humans spreading out. And of His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, so that you may find tranquility in them; and He planted love and compassion between you. In this are signs for people who reflect. And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your languages and colors. In this are signs for those who know.


Question: Why did not God create all the spheres, universes, and humans in a moment, but gradually created them in different times?

Answer: The world in which we live is the world of matter, and the gradual evolution of the material effects of the material being. Material affairs, by nature, over time transform into other ways and pass through, resulting in a complete phenomenon. The earth and the heavens are no exception to this law. Molavi takes a moral and informative lesson from this gradual creation and says:

This earth and the (heavenly) spheres were brought into existence by God with deliberation (extending) to six days;

Otherwise, He was able—“Be, and it is”—to bring forth a hundred earths and heavens (from non-existence).

This deliberation is for the purpose of teaching you that you must seek (God) slowly without (any) break.
