Summit of European Muslim Women in Hamburg
The first meeting for the Women European Council of Followers of Ahlul Bayt was held in Hamburg's Islamic center on Saturday May 6.
Hawzah News Agency (Hamburg, Germany) – The meeting was held on Saturday, May 6 at the Islamic center of Hamburg.
More
than 100 female activists attended the event; these women are engaged
in promoting Ahlubayt's doctrine in different European countries
including the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, France, UK, Bosnia,
Finland, Denmark, Switzerland as well as from some cities in Germany.
They gathered in Hamburg to report on their recent promotional
activities throughout Europe and to hold elections for the board members
of the council.
The
keynote speaker of the event was Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani, head of the
European Union of Shia Scholars and Theologians; he elaborated on the
characteristics of women and their emotional nature referring to them as
the axis of family. "Considering that emotional powers are much
stronger in women than in men, women can be regarded as the main axis in
child upbringing."
"If
the women are successful in carrying out their motherly duties in the
family, their actions will bring about wonderful changes in the society
as well." Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani concluded.
