We talked about the Qur'an's answers to the
first and second questions in the previous weeks, and this week we are going to
point to the third question, where will I go after completing my life in this
world? What will my fate be after death
This question has been in the minds of
humans since the beginning of history, and each has given it an answer. Some
people believe that a person who dies returns to another person's world, and
each of us has lived and died in the face of another human being in this world,
and this story repeatedly repeats and repeats itself to everyone. Some people
believe that after death, everyone returns to the world in the form of animals.
The secret of respecting animals like mice in certain cultures is the same thing
and they think that these animals are our ancestors who have returned in this
way, and other superstitious beliefs. What lies behind all these superstitious
beliefs is that a human cannot believe that everything will be destroyed by
death. Eternity and immortality are thing that everyone believes in. The same
is said in the narrative from Prophet Muhammad, saying: "
You have not been created to vanquish and destroy, but to survive and
eternity, and you move to another home by dying".
This is
the same desire for eternity that has always existed in the human being, and it
is the cunning devil used to conquer Adam. The Holy Qur'an reports: “But Satan whispered to him. He
said, “O Adam, shall I show you the Tree of Immortality, and a kingdom that
never decays?”
But Satan
whispered to him. He said, “O Adam, shall I show you the Tree of Immortality,
and a kingdom that never decays?”
Resurrection
and the world after death
The first set of
verses of the Holy Qur'an, which was revealed to the Prophet, is mainly
dedicated to the Resurrection and the afterlife. Verses such as :
When the sun is rolled up. When the stars are dimmed. When the mountains
are set in motion. When the relationships are suspended. When the beasts are
gathered. When the oceans are set aflame. When the souls are paired. When the
girl, buried alive, is asked: For what crime was she killed?
Quranic verses about resurrection contain various concepts and content:
First, proving the possibility and occurrence of
resurrection
Second, the state of the heavens and the
globes, the earth and its creatures at the resurrection
Third, the situation of men at the resurrection
Fourth, the qualities of the eternal life and
the state of men in the next world
The verses about proving resurrection and controversy
with its vindicators can be divided into five categories
The verses emphasizing that there is no proof of the negation of resurrection.
And it is disgusting disbelievers
Verses pointing to similar phenomena in resurrection, in order to
prevent it from improbability
Verses that reject the disbelief of the Resurrection, and it
establishes the possibility of its occurrence
Verses introducing Resurrection as the unblemished and divine
promise of God, and the true news of the Messenger
Verses that refer to the rational argument on the necessity of
resurrection
In fact, the first three categories are related to the possibility of
resurrection, and the last two categories are related to the occurrence and
necessity of resurrection. One of the methods of reasoning the Quran with the
owners of the false beliefs is that it asks for reasons to clarify that their
beliefs has no rational and logical basis, as it appears in several verses:
Prophet,
tell them to bring their reasons
In the same cases, it is stated in the same tone that the owners of these
false beliefs do not have "science" and beliefs in accordance with
actual and documented arguments, but rather they have "suspicion" and
unreasonable suspicions and oppositions.
And in the resurrection deniers also it says:
And they say, “There is nothing but this our present life; we die and we
live, and nothing destroys us except time.” But they have no knowledge of that;
they are only guessing

Similar phenomena of resurrection
Plant Growth: The human's life after death is similar
to a plant that gets alive on after its drying. Hence, thinking on this
phenomenon, which always occurs in the sight of all human beings, is sufficient
to find the possibility of their own life after death. Indeed, what simplifies
this phenomenon and neglects its importance is that people get use to see it. The Holy Quran
repeatedly attracted people's attention to this phenomenon, and resembles the
resurrection of human beings:
So observe the effects of God’s mercy—how He revives the earth after it was
dead. Indeed, He is the Reviver of the dead. He is Capable of everything.
Sleep of the Companions of the Kahaf: The
Holy Qur'an After mentioning the wonderful story of the companions of Kahaf,
says
So it was, that we caused them to be discovered, that they would know that
the promise of God is true, and that of the Hour there is no doubt.
Undoubtedly, knowing
of such a strange event that some people are asleep and awake for several
hundred years or so will have a particular effect on human attention to resurrection,
because in normal sleeps, biological acts of the body are naturally And the
return of the soul is not surprising, but a body that does not use food for three
hundred years should die and become corrupt in accordance with the current
system of nature and lose its readiness to return the soul. Such an
extraordinary incident can draw human attention beyond this normal system and
realize that human rebirth, although contrary to the system of death and life
in this world, will not have a refusal and will be realized in accordance with
the promise of God.
Resuscitation of Animals: The
Holy Quran also refers to the abnormal regeneration of several animals,
including the revival of four chickens by Abraham (pbuh):
And when Abraham said, “My
Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.” He said, “Have you not believed?”
He said, “Yes, but to put my heart at ease.” He said, “Take four birds, and
incline them to yourself, then place a part on each hill, then call to them;
and they will come rushing to you.
Resurrection of
some of the people in the same world:
One of the Prophets of the Bani of Israel, on his journey, fell to a people who
were destroyed and collapsed, and suddenly it came to his mind how these people
will revive! The Qur'an says:
Or like him who passed by a
town collapsed on its foundations. He said, “How can God revive this after its
demise?” Thereupon God caused him to die for a hundred years, and then
resurrected him. He said, “For how long have you tarried?” He said, “I have
tarried for a day, or part of a day.” He said, “No. You have tarried for a
hundred years. Now look at your food and your drink—it has not spoiled—and look
at your donkey. We will make you a wonder for mankind. And look at the bones,
how We arrange them, and then clothe them with flesh.” So when it became clear
to him, he said, “I know that God has power over all things.”
